Here’s a simple and very beautiful Chord Melody song. It’s important to remember how to play chord melody, keep the melody note on top! So with each chord, it’s not only about playing the chord, it’s also about which note we song at.
1st part chord progression:
D – F#m – Bm
G – D – A
2nd part chord progression:
(A) – G – A – Bm
G – D – A – D
Bridge chord progression:
F#m – C#7 (x3)
F#m – B7 – Em – A7
This is most certainly a simplified way of looking at it. Once you feel comfortable with this version, feel free to arpeggiate and play around with it as much as you would like!
