First lesson in which I go through what I call the “Guitar Overview” or what the parts of the guitar are and the note system and how it works. A lot of this information will come back as we need to become more familiar with it, but check it out. Here are some bullet points of this video:
The Guitar is build up of the: Body, Neck, Tuning Machines, Frets, Bridge and Nut
Notes work just like the alphabet:
A – B – C – D – E – F – G
After each note is the same note sharp:
A – A# | C – C# | D – D# | F – F# | G – G#
…or the next note flat:
A – A#/Bb | C – C#/Db | D – D#/Eb | F – F#/Gb | G – G#/Ab
B – C & E – F = no sharps or flats in between
The full note system:
A – A#/Bb – B – C – C#/Db – D – D#/Eb – E – F – F#/Gb – G – G#/Ab – back to A!
1st String = E | 2nd String = B | 3rd String = G | 4th String = D | 5th String = A | 6th String = E
