Now I’m taking something most are extremely comftorable with… the minor pentatonic scale and picking out target notes to hit some of those notes that make your solo pop! I think of those notes as triads, you can see them as the whole chord, or any other way you’d like. The big thing is we want to aim for notes that are in the chord we’re playing over.

This is one position, try other positions, different keys etc. Also, there’s no rule on how you play them, bend, slide, or just hit the notes you’re aiming for!
