Not only do I show you how to play the tapping part of Eruption, but also explain what chords he’s implying/playing with this tapping part. Why does this matter? Well we can implement sections of this tapping part into our own solos/playing/improvisation.

The couple of things to take note of:
1) Everything takes place on our 2nd string (B string)
2) Move one hand at a time (Right then Left then Right then Left)

The Chords that he’s playing are:
C#m – A – B7 – B
Em – C – D7 – D
E7 – E | E7 – E
D7 – D | C7 – C
B – Em – B – Em

Using triads, and even just playing the full chords can hopefully bring some clarity onto what it is he’s playing.
