Here’s an incredible song that I go through a Chord Melody arrangement for, “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen/Jeff Buckley! I give you the chords and chord shapes I use and where to stop your chord to let the melody ring out. Check out the tabs to get a bigger picture :). The only chord that may give you trouble is the Am as a “Gm” shape. If that’s giving you a tough time, just use a regular Am chord. The “Gm” shape just gives you more notes of the chord due to where the melody note is.
