So here’s a great way to either build up a solo or even just find different ways of maneuvering between scale shapes… 3 String Horizontal Pentatonic Scales!

The basic idea is just to move between all the different shapes on the different string sets. The only catch is to always start and end on the root!

This example is in the key of D, so we move up the CAGED Pentatonic Scale Shapes we’re just going in our normal order: C-A-G-E-D.
