Harmonics and Ways To Use Them

Harmonics are a great tool. Here I go through how to play them, what the notes of each harmonic are and ways to incorporate them into chords. You can use these harmonics anyway you want!


Harmonics are found on the 12^th, 7^th and 5^th fret.
*Lightly touch the string above the actual fret (metal bar) Don’t press down at all.


12^th fret notes = same as open string up one octave
7^th fret notes = same as 7^th fret up one octave
5^th fret notes = same as open string up two octaves


Use these over any chord that has open strings or the 7^th fret notes in the chord.
