This one is full of that “Hendrix Style of Rhythm Playing” stuff I went through, from the main riff, verse and chorus stuff.. even the solo that I’ll go through next time is all based around the same concepts… “Wind Cries Mary”!

I know he’s mainly a half step down but this one doesn’t feel a half step down to me. Regardless, I’m going through it in standard tuning. I go through the chords of the verse and then some examples of how he “Hendrix-fies” it!

Intro
Eb – E – F | Riff is Eb – E – F again!

Verse
C.Bb – F

Chorus
G – Bb | Eb – E – F
G – Bb | Eb – E – F | Eb – E – F

Solo
(the chords over the solo are very important to understand how and why he solos the way he does!)
F.Eb – Bb. Ab x3
G – Bb – Db – F – F
