Here are three Harmonic Minor Licks broken up into 2 sections. The first (A) part of the lick ends on a neutral note, while the second part of the lick (B) walks around a diminished arpeggio.

We typically want to focus on the diminished arpeggio while playing over the V chord. These licks are in the key of Dm so our V chord is the A7. The diminished arpeggio actually outlines an A7b9 arpeggio… cool!
